In a 1998 article you described Van Tharp's Peak Performance Course as "the best of them all". Are you still of this opinion?

On the Tharp course, I still think it is excellent. It is not cheap - it was easier for us to buy when the Aussie dollar was worth more US dollars.

However, he has now written the book Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom, which has much of his money management and trading system stuff in it. It is really excellent value.

This means that what you are really buying in the Peak Performance Course is the psychology material. Now, Van is a psychologist by training, so this is his real strength. Also it is a very important part of trading. Clearly, if you are looking for the best psychology material, this is it.

Since we can now buy the book, buying the course becomes a harder decision. However, yes, I still think it is the best of the trading courses I have seen, which are a pretty poor lot and one reason why I started teaching my trading plan in the Building Wealth Through Shares videotape (details on www.bwts.com.au).
