  1. I read and hear terms like defensive, or cyclical stocks. I know that banks are regarded as defensive and building companies as cyclical stocks, but why? I am more interested in some loose definition of these stocks, which I can understand and apply. It's funny sometimes to listen to people using these terms, but when asked to elaborate more, they run for cover.
  2. Do you continue to hold stocks in a bear market and would you include any growth stocks?
