Is the Coppock Indicator best suited for long-term investors?

No, not entirely.

It was designed to give a signal to begin accumulating shares for long term appreciation, provided suitable charts were evident (if not, the signal is too early). So, superficially you could assume it is only useful for long-term investors.

However, even active investors and traders should have a strategy for managing market risk. In my videotaped seminar I teach how I use it as part of my strategy for managing market risk.
